Yeah Yeah Fine is a St. Paul–based Americana band whose music reflects the wide musical and cultural influences that shaped the songwriting of founder David Ebner. Rooted in indie rock, country, blues, and folk traditions, the band was founded in 2018 by David and drummer Charlie Stachour and quickly grew into a collaborative musical community built around David’s songs and his deep love of sharing music with others.
In November 2025, David passed away. His music, however, remains at the heart of the band, and Yeah Yeah Fine continues with a renewed lineup dedicated to carrying forward the songs, spirit, and musical generosity that have defined the group from the beginning.
David’s songs—rich with melody and heartfelt storytelling—explore themes of love, loss, humor, and resilience. Over the years he collaborated with writers and musicians across the United States and around the world, working across languages and musical traditions and bringing new voices into the music whenever he could. His songs brought people together, and Yeah Yeah Fine’s live performances became known for their warmth, spirit, and sense of connection with the audience.
Today the band features Jess Grams on vocals, Charlie Guan on lead guitar, Jason Matsch on rhythm guitar, Brad Masoni on bass, and Charlie Stachour on drums.
Yeah Yeah Fine’s most recent album, Love Letters & Lifelines, was released in October 2025. The band continues to perform David’s vast catalog while sharing new arrangements and interpretations of his songs with audiences throughout the Twin Cities and beyond.
A tribute concert celebrating David’s life and musical legacy is currently being planned for summer 2026. Please stay tuned for details.
